Slow Sunday Stitching
Another week has flown by, and time again to check in for Slow Sunday Stitching. I had sort of a crazy week last week. Friday night my heating went out. I called the home warranty company on Saturday. DH wanted a specific company that had been here before. They did not work on the weekends. Said it would be Monday or Tuesday. First night it got down to 67 degrees. DH is cold on the warmest of days, so I left the space heater in the room in which he sleeps. I piled the quilts on. Second night, it got down to 62 degrees. The next morning, he remarked "that's not that bad" until he sat down on the toilet! Monday evening we got it fixed, and it was just a fuse had burned out!
Anyway Sunday and Monday I spent mostly slow stitching in the heated room! It was too cold to do anything in the other part of the house.
What I will be working on this Sunday is finishing up my primitive quilting on my Color It Red project for the blog hop hosted by Carol @ Just Let Me Quilt. I took a really fuzzy picture, and can't fix it now as DH is asleep.
I will also be working on the new BOM by Barbara Brackman called Cassandra's Circle.
I'll be linking up to Kathy's Quilts in the morning for Slow Sunday Stitching. Head on over and see what everyone has been up to.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Empathy on your heating issue. A few years ago, we had something similar. The things we take for granted until we are without. Enjoy stitching on your lovely projects this upcoming week.
ReplyDeletePoor you! Frustrating to find out it was only a fuse but it could have been very expensive!
ReplyDeleteThat doesn't sound like much fun, being cold for those days - glad it was fixed fairly easily! Looking forward to the Color it Red blog hop!
ReplyDeleteI had to talk myself out of Cassandra's Circle. That block was really calling my name though. It will be nice to see you progress on yours!
ReplyDeleteI totally empathise with your DH, being the frog that I am. =) The Cassandra's Circle is going to be a beauty. Love all those blues. As for your pretty for the Color it Red blog hop, can't wait to see it. Keep warm!
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry about your heating issues! Being cold is NO fun! We keep our thermostat turned very low in the winter (and in the summer -- LOL!). My husband sets it at 63 degrees at night! Yikes! I have piles of blankets and quilts in the sitting room. And he'll be sitting next to me in his recliner in shorts and a teeshirt! Haha!! :)
ReplyDeleteThe blue fabrics in your Cassandra's piece are such a pretty shade. Nice choice.
