Gnome For Thanksgiving Blog Hop Challenge, My Day

The Gnome For Thanksgiving started Monday hosted by the fantastic Joan @Moosestash Quilting.

The Challenge this time:  To "Gnome" Them is to love them!  Throw a little Thanksgiving twist into your Gnomie" project"

Many thanks to Joan for all the great blog hops which I have had a pleasure to participate in all these years.

I was really excited about this one, gnomes are one of my favorites.  I generally have them for every season.

I made several things.  On Facebook several months ago, I had noticed a site that was offering vinyl iron-ons and they had a number of gnomes.  I ordered some and ironed them on fabric and made some new pillows for Fall/Thanksgiving.

I went out to a cupboard where I have decorator fabrics that I have had for years, and found this one which I used to back the cushions.

While out in that cupboard, I found that I had enough of this fabric to make a long tablecloth for  the Thanksgiving table.  I serged the edges with a rolled hem.  I have had these two fabrics for years, and glad I finally completed what I purchased them for.

I had also bought this fabric.  It was already hemmed on both sides, I think for tea towels, but I bought a length of it to make a table runner for my kitchen counter at Thanksgiving.  I just hemmed the ends.

Finally, I spent most of the week last week embroidering motifs.  I found some with some cute gnomes.  I have made others table runners, but never any for myself, and I wanted a Thanksgiving table runner.

The first two motifs I bought from Tattered Stitch Embroideries.  The Grateful Heart I purchased from OESD, and the rest from Embroidery Designs.com.

I had some leftover fall themed 3 inch squares that I bordered the table runner with.
