Hard to believe another three weeks has flown by since reporting in for the Hand Quilt Along. The past three weeks, I have been working on two main projects. I did finish up my Ella Blocks for last month. I need to get started on my blocks for this month though.
My slow stitching the past month has continued to be working on the #100hexies100days2021, a challenge on Instagram. I have already made more than 100, the challenge started the first of March. I have already gone through a package of #125 hexie templates. Each week there is a new theme. This week it has been party or celebrations, and has been a little challenging for me to think up holidays or parties. These are some of the hexies for the past few weeks.
I called these three beach party.
I called these two Bon Voyage.
These were for last week, rainbow week. I didn't have much rainbow fabric, but just made a different color every day.
Be sure and check out the links below for the others participating in the Hand Quilt Along.
This Hand Quilt Along is an opportunity for hand quilters and piecers to share and motivate one another. We post every three weeks, to show our progress and encourage one another. If you have a hand quilting project and would like to join our group contact Kathy at the link below.
I will also be linking up with Kathy's Quilts for Slow Sunday Stitching. Head on over and check out those links too.
The other thing I have been doing this week is stitching out motifs on my samplers for the Free Motion Quilting Academy class by HollyAnne Knight from String and Story I started the class last Fall and got about 1/2 way through the videos and doodling designs, but never stitched on my sampler. I am determined to graduate with the spring cohort, and graduation is the first part of May. Your sampler has to have 30 blocks. I now have 20 stitched out. I need to learn the graffiti, feathers, and an additional 8 motifs. I also need to stitch out a whole cloth piece, so I have been trying to get caught up in preparation for graduation. These are some of the ones I have stitched out this week.
We are trying to get some people lined up to paint our house and fix some dry rot. I orginally contacted a few guys last week, but the painter thought more needed to replaced than just the dry rot. So we will see how this next week goes.
I am due to get my last Covid shot next week, so look forward to that being done. Hope you all have a great week, and thanks for stopping by!
