Thanks for stopping by!
I had a not so busy week this week, and can't say I have much to show for my time. I did do my last two weeks' borders in the SAHRR (Stay at Home Round Robin) hosted by Quilting Gail. You can find out all about it here. Each Monday one of the co-hosts gives you a different border to put on your block. I started out with an orphan block I had lying around. I didn't get mine done last week because I was working on blog hop project and Kristen's BD gifts. But I got caught up this week and got two borders on. Last week was curves, this week's prompt was diamonds. I'm happy with the way it is looking.
My daughters have a tradition with their friends. On their birthday their friends take them out to dinner. Each of the group put $20 in with the BD card, and they pay for BD girl's dinner. My girls invited me to go with them this time as it was Kristen's BD. I have known all of these ladies for years and years, except one of them. Their children have grown up with my grandchildren.
My daughter Katie is holding the phone and Kristen is right behind me. We had a really good dinner, and lots of laughs. I think we closed the place down.
One day this week, I assembled care packages for grandchildren Kyleigh and Jaeger who are off at college. I made Jaeger chocolate cookies, with peanut butter centers, and had gotten him 2 kinds of trail mix and Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. Kyleigh is more health conscious and likes my homemade Gingerbread Granola, dried mango slices, pistachios but then some Starburst because she likes those. Jaeger made sure to ask before he headed back to college if I was going to send him a care package!
This week I did finish this Ella Maria Deacon block. I had to rip a couple of pieces out as the last couple of pieces weren't going to match up.
I have the next one prepped and ready to stitch for Slow Sunday Stitching.
I will be linking up with Kathy's Quilts for Slow Sunday Stitching. Head on over and check out what everyone is working on. My favorite thing to do on Sundays!

It's time to link up January's One Monthly Goal for January at Elm Street Quilts. I continue to greatly appreciate this monthly goal-setting and link up, and again many thanks to Patty for all she does!
My One Monthly Goal for January was to make my project for the Polar Plunge Blog Hop. I stated my goal here.
I did finish my project. My day for the blog hop was here. This happened to be my blog hop project, as well as a gift for my oldest daughter for her BD on January 21.
I will be linking up for One Monthly Goal @Elm Street Quilts.

Gail @Quilting Gail is hosting the SAHRR (Stay At Home Round Robin) again this year. You can find out all about it here. Each week one of the co-hosts gives you a border to put on your original block. This is a list of the rounds.
This week's prompt was by Emily @The Darling Dogwood and was diamonds. This is my diamond round. I was going to do an economy square in the corners, but I miscut my brown fabric several times, and misjudged the dimensions of my cut pieces, so I had no more brown fabric left.
I will be linking up @Anja Quilts and @The Darling Dogwood. Thanks so much ladies you are challenging me to try new things!
