Polar Bear Plunge Blog Hop, My Day

When Joan@ Moosestash Quilting announced the Polar Bear Plunge Blog Hop, I knew I needed to jump right in.  The challenge was to make something with a polar bear, blue or something reflecting the cold.

I knew exactly what I wanted to make.  It was an old unstarted kit I had gotten from my LQS I think in 1998 for a wool table runner. The book doesn't have any copyright date it it, but on the back is the price sticker and it says 12/98.  I have always meant to make it up for my daughter Kristen.  I have been meaning to make this for her for years and it has never gotten done.   Since her BD is January 21st, this was the perfect impetus to make it.

This project/kit came from the book Snowflake Threads by Need'l Love.

This is my finished product.  I love it, and so did Kristen when I gave it to her last week.

Thanks so much to Joan @Moosestash Quilting for another delightful hop, and giving me a kick in the pants to at long last get this done!

  3. Nothing beats the looks of a wool runner. I absolutely love it. Finding those old kits we purchased can be like striking gold some days. It's a bonus when blog hopping helps us finish those projects from the past. Thanks for playing in the Polar Bear Plunge hop.
