The Something Wicked Blog Hop Challenge started Monday, hosted by the amazing Carol @Just Let Me Quilt. Many thanks to Carol for another wonderful challenge!
Carol says about the challenge: "Your idea of "wicked" might be completely different than mine, so take this where you want to. Of course, it is Halloween-related, so include that in your wicked creations."
I get my Halloween decorations out the first part of October, and always love getting them out. Here are some of the things I have made or collected in prior years.
What I decided to work on for this challenge was my Witch Hazel stitchery. This was a primitive stitchery by I Done My Best. It has been prepped and ready to stitch probably 20 years or more, sitting in a pile I came across again, and was determined to finish it finally. I was thinking to myself I wish my husband was still alive and could make me a primitive frame, and I came across one in my craft room that he had made. I painted it black and painted the moon and stars on it.
Witch Hazel looks good above my gnome witch.
I had hoped to work on this other project, but didn't get too far due to other activities this month. I made some of the star blocks, but the applique middle needs 420 inches of bias tape, which isn't completed yet. Maybe next year.
