SAHRR, Border 4
This week the prompt for the Stay at Home Round Robin came from Wendy @Pieceful Thoughts, and she proposed we make a Sliced Square with Insert.
I made the sliced square with insert, but then I made them into stars.
I did one wrong and had to rip, actually I did this twice.
I haven't attached last week's stars or this week's yet, will wait to see what the next two weeks bring.
The schedule for the Stay at Home Round Robin is as follows:
- January 13: The links for the Centre blocks are on THIS POST.
- January 20: 1st Round: Kathleen @ Kathleen McMusing
- January 27: 2nd Round: Anja @ Anja Quilts
- February 3: 3rd Round: ME!!! @ Quilting Gail
- February 10: 4th Round: Wendy @ Pieceful Thoughts of My Quilting Life
- February 17: 5th Round: Brenda @ Songbird Designs
- February 24: 6th Round: Emily @ The Darling Dogwood
- March 24: Parade: showing all of your finished SAHRRs!
What a fun way to use the sliced square! It looks great!
ReplyDeleteglad you caught that mistake - I saw it before I read it and thought oh no I need to let her know :) I hate it when I make mistakes and no one catches it before it gets further along
ReplyDeleteThat's a fun center for those stars! I had to laugh when you showed your mistake - we've all done that. Great progress, Karrin!
ReplyDeleteI've made mistakes like that before - it's one of those 'darn it' moments, good catch!
ReplyDeleteyour stars look great with the sliced centres :)
ReplyDeleteJust caught up on your posts, Karrin. Thanks for showing those lovely miniature quilts. And that Dear Jane with the writing on the back. How special! Also how wonderful your work on this piece. I don't think I have the skills to make some of these blocks of yours. Fabulous!
ReplyDeleteLove the sliced square stars! I had one or two of those adventures in this sahrr!
