Hand Quilt-Along, Slow Sunday Stitching

Another three weeks has flown by, and time to report again for the HQAL.  I have been busy with the Hands2Help Charity Project organized by Sarah at Confessions of a Fabric Addict.  I've been doing a lot of quilting, and binding, and sewing the binding down by hand.  I finished one last night.  It is in the wash right now.

This is the flimsy before I quilted it.  These were long ago swap blocks from 2002 I think, I had 4 blocks from Moira @The Quilted Snail, one of which I am using for the label. I also had a block from Susan @Desertsky Quilting.   I'll get better pictures today after I am able to take another, and I need to write another post about progress on the Hands2Help quilts.

The other handwork I've been working on is Hospital Sketches, the applique BOM by Barbara Brackman @Civil War Quilts.     This is a poor picture, it doesn't show the true colors.  Hope to get a better one when I finish.

  4. I'm so impressed with your Hospital Sketches. I really like the blocks - was playing around with the coxcomb and bird ideas for where to put the bird, but I'm not adding another applique until I finish the one you just finished! Six blocks to go. Soon. Your quilts are always so well done and nicely designed.
