Joy@ Days Filled with Joy right now is having 31 Days of Getting Organized, and asked how we store our pearl cotton threads. I mentioned that I had a chest my DH had bought me some years ago, I think at Harbor Freight. It is 20 inches long, and 16 inches wide.
The top of the chest opens up, and I have my specialty threads I use mostly for crazy quilting projects.
The inside has 8 small drawers and a big one at the bottom. This is where I have my pearl cotton balls.
I also have a drawer for my sparkly Kreinik metallics.
I have a drawer with very wide silk ribbon. Sort of looks like a mess right now.
This is the bottom drawer with more pearl cotton/
That's it for right now. Thanks for stopping by!
Oh I just love that chest! Just how I pictured it :) Now I need to find one like that for mine!! Thanks for sharing! xx
ReplyDeleteI'm in love with your storage! Is it ok to say that? Lol
ReplyDeleteWow - that chest is amazing, and you have a wonderful collection of threads.
ReplyDeleteYour thread chest is amazing. I like how organized it is. The crow quilt looks terrific. That book is out of print, so hang on to yours. There are two used ones at Amazon for $43 and $55!
ReplyDeletea lovely way to store your threads & ribbons.
ReplyDeleteI always love to see how others store their threads. After years of crazy quilting and embroidery, you’d think I might have a decent system. Nope. They’re just in large gallon baggies (balls of perle, spools of Kreinik, etc) by color. That is an awesome chest you have for the threads. It seems to hold everything perfectly! I wonder if Harbor Freight would have anything like that these days....
