Hand Quilt Along, Slow Sunday Stitching, Sweet Land of Liberty

Hard to believe another 3 weeks has flown by where we report our hand work.  Twice the past couple of weeks I have been without handwork and have had to get busy arranging more.  Usually I have a stack sitting on the couch beside me.

I finished one of the redwork nursery rhyme blocks, Mary had a Little Lamb

And I started on Simple Simon.  I'm trying to work on these an hour each night.

Another thing I have finished this week was April's quilt-along on the Sweet Land of Liberty with Lori of Humble Quilts.

Today I also spent prepping my last Flourishes block, not much to show right now but this will be hand applique also.

Visit the other hand quilt along links below and see what everyone is doing.

This Hand Quilt Along is an opportunity for hand quilters and piecers to share and motivate one another. We post every three weeks, to show our progress and encourage one another.  If you have a hand quilting project and would like to join our group contact Kathy at the link below.

I will also be linking up with Slow Sunday Stitching hosted by Kathy's Quilts.  I really appreciate the continued motivation this Hand Quilt Along and Slow Sunday Stitching give me!

Thanks for stopping by!   Karrin

  3. Both redwork blocks look great! I love your SLOL. It makes such a pretty grouping together. You are way ahead of me now, as I've done nothing at all in the last two months, even though the angel is prepped. I'm not on facebook, of course, so I'm out of the loop. I need to get on this, as it really isn't that hard to do the rest of what I need for this second unit.

  4. Such great progress on your stitcheries! I have supplies and a pattern to attempt my first embroidery.... once I get a few other hand work projects finished. I might have to join your group at that point.

  6. Love the Redwork! I love primitive quilts - I have so much fabric and so many patterns. Just need to get over there to that those patterns! Hugs

  8. Your redwork is beautiful. Mary seems to be missing her lamb. I really like those stars. I like the idea of an hour at night for stitching, but I often can't see my work well enough at night. Enjoy your stitching.

  9. The redwork nursery rhymes will make a great quilt; do you have specific plans for it? Your primitive quilt caught my eye. I have never done that style, but your blocks are tempting me!
