Today is the link up for the Hand-Pieced Quilt Along hosted by Patty at Elm Street Quilts and Kristin of Simple, Handmade, Everyday.
This is my block 3. It is not as wonky as it looks, I think it was the camera angle. I might do it over and try to get better points. Just not right now, as I am working on projects for 3 upcoming blog hops.
I'd like to thank Patty and Kristin again for this fun QAL. I think of my dear MIL who hand pieced the majority of her quilts. I have a few she did by machine, as they were polyester scrap quilts. I came across one the other day in a cabinet looking for something else. She used every kind of scrap she had. I even have one of corduroy, but that one is worn out.
Thanks for stopping by! Karrin
That is so neat you are sewing blocks by hand! I’ve never tried it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a treasure to have your MILs hand made quilts :)
Beautiful block! Thanks for linking up with the Hand Pieced QAL!
ReplyDeleteThose are great fabrics and colors together. I think it will all iron out. =) I should do this one this vacation and catch up, since I won't have a sewing machine. =)
