Well I finally was able to finish up my OMG for February last night. My One Monthly Goal was to finish this Flourishes BOM block by Piece of Cake Designs.
Two more blocks to go, and then I can start piecing the setting blocks. I will be so happy to finish this. It has been a UFO for far too long.
When this BOM came out long, long ago, the owner of the quilt shop near my house asked if I would hand applique the top, which I did, and she would provide me with the fabric to do my own. I think I got to about 7 blocks of mine done, and I set it aside for many years. Meanwhile she had at least 2 other projects for me to do, and she gave me materials for my own top.

ReplyDeleteThis is a delightful block, Karrin. Congratulations on the finish. And kudos to you for making blocks for the quilt shop owner. That sounds stressful and too much like work to me but I'm sure it's fun to have your work seen in the shop.
