Hand Quilt Along, Slow Sunday Stitching

Another three weeks has flown by, and it is time to report in again for the Hand Quilt Along.  I spent most of that time working on my 12 Days of Christmas in July Project.  You can see that post here.  I spent about a week (except the 2 days a week I have been watching my grandchildren)  getting the machine embroidered motifs done.  I had a few snafus and I kept having to start over.  Then I spent the next week and a half hand-embroidering the crazy quilt pieces.

My sister asked me several years ago to make her a tree skirt, and I finally got it done.  I'm going to give it to her for her birthday later this month, then she will have it in time for Christmas.

This is the finished tree skirt.  I still need to add some snaps at the back and it will be ready to go.  Hard to get a good picture.  Too bright outside, and too dark inside.

After I got that project done, I started working on some of my Kathy Schmitz stitcheries.  I belong to the One Stitch at a Time Club and I am working these bird ones up for a wallhanging for one of my daughters for Christmas.  I finished the first one, and started on the second one.

  11. I love Kathy's embroidery designs, but I have yet to stitch one of the club selections. At least I know right where they are! Yours looks wonderful, of course!
